Josephine Kargbo, is the current Director of the Sierra Leone National Museum, for over three decades in which she have served in different capacities.

She studied museology in Mali, Nigeria, Gambia and the United Kingdom and has a passion for children. She is the current deputy chief commissioner of the Sierra Leone Scout Association and chairperson for Peace links Sierra Leone which is a youth organization. Ms Kargbo has also worked with different organizations such as Sierra Leone Society for the Deaf, and Cheshire Home, ensuring persons with disability has a voice in society and are given an opportunity to contribute in society.
